Venus (Botticelli) | final version
translated poem:
Venus (Botticelli)
-
jakub mistral
It was as though
I saw Botticelli's Venus.
So airy,
so delicate,
as if gravity was strange to her.
It was ten years ago.
Today she plods along
on the flag-stones
overpowered by the load of the shopping bags.
I saw Botticelli's Venus.
So airy,
so delicate,
as if gravity was strange to her.
It was ten years ago.
Today she plods along
on the flag-stones
overpowered by the load of the shopping bags.
