Little Can the Dead Do | work in progress
translated poem:
Umarli potrafią niewiele
-
Michał Zabłocki
All dead men can do almost nothing
They know such little things
They mostly don't know what's up
Simply do not follow
They missed many, many occasions
Didn't seize the day with their God
Although so many times they have been told
That times passes by anyway
It is true:they are really reluctant
It is hard to teach them to be curious
Coz they think they've lived their own lives
They put off all their duties
But you have to admit it: they know how to observe
To watch you tight and make judgements
They toss up high their hollow eyes
To place them in some other orbits
They know such little things
They mostly don't know what's up
Simply do not follow
They missed many, many occasions
Didn't seize the day with their God
Although so many times they have been told
That times passes by anyway
It is true:they are really reluctant
It is hard to teach them to be curious
Coz they think they've lived their own lives
They put off all their duties
But you have to admit it: they know how to observe
To watch you tight and make judgements
They toss up high their hollow eyes
To place them in some other orbits
