Guardians

The rhythmic
beating
of the drum.

Steady,
loud.

Only one place
among all places,
my place.
The tree.
My tree.
I missed her.

Sliding down
through the roots,
faster now,
down.
The pitch black night
covers me.

Faster.

The light
peering through,
finally!
I'm here.

Forest full of gloom and mist,
but not bare.
Dark river rushing through it.
I know this place
very well.

She is waiting for me.
I'm sorry
I didn't come sooner.

"It's never too soon,
nor too late", she says,

"It's only now,
never and nowhere else."

Warm tongue on my face.
I mount her.
And we go.

(Her speed and agility
Never ceases
to amaze me).

They're here,
Hiding, waiting...
They know.

There!

Hello my sweet.
It's been a long time.

Now
let's look to the sky.
Searching...
Searching...

Swoosh!

We have to go.

Hurry!

Dark mist moving
Faster and faster.
Consuming mercilessly
far away trees.

Hurry!

The place is prepared
and now open
...
And closed with a kiss.

Trice.

The drum is
beating
faster
and
faster

Calling
me back...

The time
is up.

Up
I go.

Fly.

Crawl.

Run.

Shut it.

Done.

Thank you
For coming...

...with me.

Power-full
I am.

Thank you.

Trice.

...Behind the clouds
of the mind
lay a clear sky...
and..
don't forget to dance.
