Has she a future, she is just a child

Amidst the din of busy traffic
Alone she stood, so tiny so stoic
Agony etched on her face angelic
Wide eyed innocence,
Yet showing sadness
Stubborn steeliness, defies her tender age
And keeps her going, yes, she'll manage
Has she a future, she is just a child

Scratch marks on her arms widespread
Few festering blisters, so angry and red
She reached out her hand,
a little palm pleading for a coin
Anything Sir, will just be fine
Help feed the hunger
Day in day out, ever present danger
Has she a future, she is just a child

Her hair matted and dry
A bath? a shower? heave a big sigh!
Feet bare in all weather
Palms of her hands just like leather,
Softness long lost, poor girl do bless her
Those years of hard work and worry
Oh! such sadness, such misery
Has she a future, she is just a child

Dressed in rags torn unclean
Wasted limbs so skinny and lean
Her shrill voice begging
At passers by pleading
Tears in her eyes, Oh! torment
Just living, for now, this moment
A victim, no never, never her fault
Has she a future, she is just a child

A little child she carries, no haste
Slung on the side of her little waist
Just a black string around his waist
Is he asleep, or is he dead?
He is so still nothing said
Pity her plight, this little maiden
No justice, no fairplay, a life that only dreams brighten
Has she a future, she is just a child

My comment which is fully mine

Great deep thoughts, beautifully arranged, I would say it has a great future
