Different Rules

I tried to beat time, but it was certain:
letters of the local alphabet
have different rules.

The skin has more to say and I still
feel its warmth. And although spots
of light danced and the earth
became the sky - words escaped
to the edge of this world,
they shared a peace
that did not please the locals.

Several too heavy hearts fell to the ground.
The spherical lightning bolt
came to rest on the bottom.
Your glass heaven finally understood
my intentions. The uncertainty I know
from sight has emerged.

I will be born once again, just in case.
