( a female text)
Once I had a beret, quite old
a Basque style with an antenna
a bit outmoded, it can be told
with it I took a train to Vienna
Took out a Chinese vacuum flask
and pork pie to eat for my lunch
then to Palermo in my Basque
I went and then I had a munch
I hardly kept my legs on board
Vertical walk is hard to get
Italy is for me, oh Lord!
Italian men are best, I bet
Then Casablanca's next to go
I feel bad but drink from the dawn
I booze like Bogart - sure and slow
Wanting to be saved by man's brawn
