One real Polish seal
Had no kapok to deal
But she swam in Hel
Despite weighing like hell
Before her swimming
She liked menu skimming:
Sprat in cream criss-cross
Herring in marchpane sauce
She met a sawfish
In fact she saw a fish
Which said" I suggest:
Let's two have a contest
A whale oil to win
Which can far better swim
We start near the quay
You start first,not me
Our rules are rigid:
Finish under the bridge"
They both started, see
In the cold Baltic Sea
Quickly and so fine
Approaching finish line
The sawfish swam first
Its body deep immersed
The seal slightly cursed
Its flippers were submersed
All of a sudden
Something came up hidden
They both got bumped
They got each a lump
It was a jellyfish
Medusa, if you wish
Two swimming rivals
With no war arrivals
Drank both the whale oil
After that big turmoil
So it was a draw
A winner that no one saw
The seal and sawfish run
Was forgotten and done
They were both topmost
Their efforts weren't lost
The seal and the sawfish
