the countess in a crinoline
had some kippers after lunch
then some booze and quinacrine
to calm herself after the munch

the count entered drawing room
ruffled hair and ruddy faced
not bowing to her in gloom
said something about disgrace

the countess was all surprised
making thus a big faux pas
choked and passed away disguised
the count took it well by far

what's the moral of that story?
kippers should be without bone
and good booze can bring a glory
for the count who is alone
