At the Traffic Lights during Rush Hour

It‘s the rush hour as cars queue up at the lights
A young girl in a hurry starts adjusting her tights
Another with a vanity mirror touches up with lipstick
While a long haired beauty brushes her hair, so slick

A man with a moustache laughs uncontrollably
His moustache bobbing up and down delightfully
Now he is fiddling with his radio thoughtfully
His wife engrossed in a book unaware blissfully

A fat thoughtful man starts picking his nose
The woman in next car is disgusted and it shows
He was just scratching it, he now pretends
To his rear view mirror, he busily attends

An executive is hurriedly putting on his tie
While gobbling a sandwich, or is it a pie?
And a budding baritone sings with fervour
Not a care as he exudes, today’s flavour

A nervous spectacled man lights a cigarette hastily
A stern elderly lady obseves him disapprovingly
He looks away and puffs out a cloud of smoke
See if I care, you prude! He seems to croak
